Well the hotel is old and the walls thin, the pleasant Manager and clean rooms made my stay a happy one.

The owners are very lucky to have such a team holding the walls together, for them.
Do not forget them. When that is sold for million dollar condos, probably too?
Life has taught me , ego , elitism , gossip, greed and trauma are the stumbling block of more then a few,
My only complaint was wifi service , but as I was staying there , they had wifi upgraded and from then on was great.

As the only horse in a one horse town, the monthly rates are decent , daily quite high , IMO
Let’s hope it stays around , if turned to condos, there will be no where to stay in Horseshoe Bay.

The “owners” however seem a tad greed driven, summer prices in November? I know covid was hard on most all , but still, they are one of the fortunate few. And will be even more fortunate in the future.

I was sad to read the reviews where a couple were refused service. From what I learned it’s just more greed from foreign investors using locals , making the once great laid back multi cultural and pleasant city the capital of greed.
But this is another story
I’m sure that story was true. It’s not as if it’s an upscale hotel or even upscale motel.
But management is doing its best with with it , using all they have at there disposal. Hence 4 stars.
And most everyone suffered during covid , 10s of thousands of small businesses gone.
10x more homeless , Judgement and fear , at an all time high.
My compassion encompasses everyone, but first those without property worth A-LOT,
…those paying others mortgages as being born into wealth was not there lot.
Most working locals born to long ago or too late, keep two jobs just for shelter and to eat.
We are all brothers and sisters.
Do not forget in our fear , comfort , labels and human fables
The GOLDEN RULE.
For it is the law of the universe , happiness does not come from obscene wealth , often the opposite. Nor material goods.
They say fear is the curse of the rich man, shame the curse of the poor.
It’s the wanting and comparison, in a shallow shadow world. Our other side mostly forgotten. Or so easily broken.
What will u do the next time a man , woman or an angle comes knocking at yr door.
How do u treat yr neighbour’s even if struggling with life , strife , rich humans in any sense turned poor?
